
NERCORMP
North Eastern Region Community Resource Management Project (NERCORMP) is a livelihood and rural
development project aimed to transform the lives of the poor and marginalized tribal families in North
East(NE) India. NERCORMP Project implemented by AMYAA was funded by NEC through DST – Changlang (2014-2020). A concept of North Eastern Community Resource Management Project (NERCORMP) NaRMG is an inclusive and democratic planning and implementating body consisting of one male and female from each HHs to look after the overall socio-economic development of the village with timely backward and forward linkages.
The NERCORMP project funded by North Eastern Council (NEC) and implemented through the partnership
of AMYAA brought major socio-economic development to the targeted village communities under
Diyun circle of Changlang District, Arunachal Pradesh. SHGs and NaRMGs promoted through the project
played key roles in the overall planning and execution of all development projects. Thus, 33 NaRMGs, 144
SHGs, 5 NaRMG Cluster Associations and 5 SHG Federations were promoted. From among numerous project activities taken up, the top 3 (three) most successful projects were village roads, areca-nut plantation and fishery development.
The project adopts a holistic approach of development with two broad focus areas: Social mobilization, organization and capacity building to tap and realize the great latent potential of the communities by employing time tested their traditional value systems and culture Intervene with the economic and social activities and infrastructure with predominant thrust on income generating activities to achieve economic transformation.
